Erlachhof

The Erlachhof has been an organic Austrian farm since 1989 and is located at 720 m above sea level in the market town of Reichenau, in the district of Grünsting.

A herd of around 20 Simmental cattle graze on the farm's pastures. In winter, the animals only receive roughage from the surrounding meadows. Special emphasis is placed on daily grazing and winter exercise. The cows keep their horns, can live out their individual characteristics and each have their own name.

The grassland is farmed organically, with a focus on nature conservation to preserve biodiversity and landscape conservation - an important contribution to the region and tourism.

Sale of organic milk

The organic milk is available from the milk vending machines at Eurospar Uher in Reichenau and in Gloggnitz opposite the main square.
