Schaumühle Schrattenberg

The artificial mill was built in 1921 and operated under the name "Landwirtschaftliche Genossenschaftsmühle Schrattenberg und Umgebung" until 1982. The original equipment was only supplemented by electrification and the installation of a pneumatic system for transporting and cleaning the ground material. As a cultural asset worth preserving, it was set up as a foam mill which can be visited by appointment with the support of a professional guide. It shows the functional structure on four levels, the high technical standard (engineering skill), the drive technology, the technology of grinding sticks, cleaning machines, bucket elevators, mixers and classifiers in detail and in operation, plus a stone grinder as a grist mill.
