The route leads through the forests of the Hohe Wand Nature Park to the Skywalk viewing terrace and to the Waldeggerhaus with views of Schneeberg and Ötscher.
Popis
The Hohe Wand Nature Park with its forested high plateau is a popular hiking area with heavenly views. On the circular hike, you have animal encounters and nice places to stop, such as Gasthof Postl or the Waldeggerhaus. At the Charcoal Burner’s Place, you receive information about old traditions of the Hohe Wand residents – lime burning in the lime kiln or charcoal production in the charcoal pile. The deer in the enclosures are very curious and even eat out of your hand. The highlight of the hike is the Skywalk viewing terrace and the view of the Ötscher.
An ideal hike for hot days.

Popis trasy Hohe Wand Nature Park - Ötscher view
From the Nature Park Center, the path leads us - past the petting zoo, lime kiln, charcoal pile, and deer enclosure - to the Gasthof Postl and the Skywalk viewing terrace. Along the cliff edge, it continues to Almfrieden and via the 231 marker to the Engelbert Church parking lot. On the left begins the Saugrabenweg, which gently ascends through the beech forest to the Waldeggerhaus. Here we are rewarded with a great view of the Schneeberg and, with some luck, also a view of the Ötscher. (Waldeggerhaus: closed on Thursdays and Fridays) Along the power lines, the path leads to the Hochkogelstraße and back to the starting point.
