Detaily pro: Thallern Route

Krátký popis

A nice circular route around the Anninger and through the well-known wine villages of Gumpoldskirchen, Thallern, and Pfaffstätten.

Popis

The Thallern route is a varied mountain bike circular route in the Wienerwald, covering about 39 kilometers through idyllic wine villages, dense forests, and gentle hills. The route starts at the Höldrichsmühle in Hinterbrühl and goes through Gaaden and Siegenfeld into the picturesque Helenental. Along the bike path through Baden, the route continues to the Thallern Winery, one of Austria's oldest wineries, as well as through the well-known wine villages of Pfaffstätten and Gumpoldskirchen. A short push section of about 200 meters along the railway near Mödling adds variety, before returning via the Prießnitztal and the Lower 3-Hours Trail to the starting point. With a mix of asphalt, gravel, and forest paths, the route offers both riding fun and impressive views of the gentle rolling landscape of the Wienerwald.

Výstroj

A safe and functional mountain bike is required for all routes. Helmet and gloves protect against falls and can be supplemented on single/shared trails with knee and elbow protectors. A modern mountain bike with disc brakes and sufficient tire tread is recommended. For single and shared trails from the red difficulty level, a full suspension bike with modern geometry is recommended. Tools, tire levers, pump, and spare tube help with breakdowns. Sufficient provisions (drinks and food) should also be carried along with a mobile phone and wind/rain jacket.

Bezpečnostní informace

Before every ride, check the functionality of brakes, tires, and suspension fork/shock absorber. Always ride with hazard awareness and controlled speed, and adapt route selection to the skill level of the group and the terrain. The Fair Play rules must always be observed. Single/shared trails as well as constructed routes in trail parks and centers often feature stones, roots, steep passages, steps and steep turns that require a certain riding skill. When in doubt, simply dismount and push the bike.
