Wildendürnbach
Wildendürnbach is the main town in the large municipality of Wildendürnbach with around 900 inhabitants. The main social infrastructure is provided here with a municipal office, primary school and kindergarten as well as two doctors. There is also a basic range of stores for everyday needs and two restaurants.
The village of Wildendürnbach is located in a predominantly flat area of the municipality. The basic structure of the village is that of an Angerdorf with up to 50 meters between the house fronts. The Wildendürnbach, which runs along the length of the Anger, was culverted in the 1960s.
The buildings, which are closed throughout, were mainly built as smallholdings, although historically the Hintaus area was directly adjacent. Part of the village has developed along the main road towards the border with the Czech Republic. Newer areas of the village have developed directly adjacent to the historically grown areas to the south and north.
