Popis
Tip/Fun Fact: In 1998 this path was created directly on the pipeline route for the 125th anniversary of the 1st Vienna High Spring Water Pipeline. Every year in September the traditional Genussmeile takes place here, with direct wine tasting in the vineyard.
The hiking trail along the 1st Vienna High Spring Water Pipeline consists of 2 sections, each designed as a day route. The path leads along the most beautiful sections of the pipeline route. The first section of the 1st Vienna Water Hiking Path begins in Kaiserbrunn. The second section of the 1st Vienna Water Hiking Path starts in Bad Vöslau.

Popis trasy 1st Vienna Water Pipeline Path - Section 2
We start our route in Bad Vöslau on a meadow path. The first section runs parallel to the Doktor-Robert-Schlumberger-Weg. We immediately notice that wine accompanies us constantly, which is evident not only from the path names and the vineyards we walk through but also from the numerous heurigers. We are on the Genussmeile of the spa region. After about an hour, we reach Baden, where the path is unmarked in the urban area. We come from the Wasserleitungsstraße, pass the Helenen-Friedhof, walk under the aqueduct after Steinbruchgasse, and reach the Baden beach after the Hildegard bridge. We continue over Schlossgasse and Marchetstraße to the casino. Then we follow Kaiser-Franz-Ring to the left turn into Welzergasse and immediately right into Trostgasse, which we follow up to Flamminggasse. There we turn left and then right onto Schiestlstraße. From here, it is about 100 m until we are back on the High Spring Water Pipeline path. Our next destination is Gumpoldskirchen. On this following 5 km section, we have a gradient of exactly 5 m; we walk practically flat.
The well-known wine town with its heurigers offers numerous dining options. No one will have to suffer from thirst on this hiking trail anyway. Those not drawn to wine have multiple opportunities to refresh themselves at fountains with cool spring water. We leave Gumpoldskirchen heading north and now have to cross the heavily trafficked state road on weekends. Afterwards, it continues in the same style, always pleasantly flat. After about 1 km, we have the last opportunity to refill our water bottle before reaching Mödling.
