Popis
The summer resort Rosenburg, known far beyond the country's borders with its dozens of Gründerzeit villas, lies in the Kamp valley, dominated by the castle of the same name. The original castle from the 12th century was part of the Babenberg fortification chain; during the Renaissance, it received its final appearance, which has been preserved to this day, featuring the largest tournament court in Central Europe. You can see crossbows, knight armor, rifles, cannons, … and in summer enjoy fine theater at the summer night's comedy. Especially spectacular are the birds of prey demonstrations by the falconers. In the adjacent forest, a high rope climbing park was created for the younger generation. The baroque pilgrimage church Maria Dreieichen with the famous dome painting by Paul Troger is one of the most beautiful in Austria. The basilica is the destination of thousands of pilgrims every year.

Popis trasy Grasel circular route
From the Knell guesthouse in Mold you head towards Mörtersdorf. The path takes you on field paths, from which you have a beautiful view over the Horn basin in the direction of Rosenburg, into the forest, where after a short time you have to cross a small stream and then continue on a field path towards Mörtersdorf. There you can either stop at the Graselwirtin guesthouse or continue through the underpass of the B4 towards the pilgrimage site Maria Dreieichen. The hiking trail leads you almost exclusively through beautiful forests that occasionally offer opportunities for a rest or, if the time is right, for mushroom picking. First, you go a little uphill, then pretty level towards Maria Dreieichen. There you can visit the pilgrimage church and enjoy culinary delights at the Vlasaty guesthouse or continue straight back towards Mold. After Maria Dreieichen, you soon go steeply downhill through the forest, then continue along the edge of the forest. From here you have a magnificent panoramic view of the Horn basin. With a bit of luck, you can enjoy a picturesque sunset there in the evening. The last meters lead you back on field paths to Mold, where you have the opportunity to end the day with a good meal in the garden of the Knell guesthouse.
