Mountain hike along the Taglesbach to the Herrenalm
The alpine house on the Herrenalm, dating from the Middle Ages, lies sheltered in a small basin, which can only be reached on foot. As a reward, there is a rustic, stone-built alpine hut with a steep hipped roof, offering drinks and simple snacks. This hike is also suitable for families with active children - fairy tale forest, along streams and this alpine hut - a dreamlike experience.

Ascent along the left bank of the Taglesbach (700m) up to the signpost "Herrenalm/Dürrenstein", then a short stretch on a forest road, again turning right into the mixed forest until a paved wide path leads somewhat steeper uphill in switchbacks. As soon as this path leads into a gorge-like narrowing, with a waterfall on the left and the rock face of the Kleinreiser Kogel on the right, it becomes especially charming. Until then, nothing else can be heard but the rustling of the stream and the rustling of the leaves under our feet. After the waterfall, you reach the alpine hut Herrenalm (1327m) and further on the Leonhardikreuz (1406m).
Return by the same route through the Taglesgraben.
