Popis
The "Hoidaweg" refers to an old tradition: the herder, the "Hoida", drove the animals here to the pasture. Today, along the theme route, at various stations with many interactive play elements and a small exhibition in the wooden hut "LEBENsWELT - History and Encounter," one can "learn to read" the landscape.
Here we see the development of the cultural landscape around Harbach and the settlements embedded within it, some of which are already over 800 years old. Humans and nature have shaped each other over many generations. Abundance of wood, quartz deposits, special climate, and plenty of water made productive agriculture and forestry possible, and with glass production and the still-active glass grinding workshops, a craft with very special products developed.
The Waldviertel-South Bohemian cultural landscape today no longer knows any dividing borders and together forms one of the most attractive natural, cultural, and health regions in Europe!

Popis trasy Hoidaweg
The theme route starts at Steinbrunnerhof in Lauterbach, opposite the volunteer fire brigade, and leads you past the children's playground towards the chapel. Always follow the distinctive "Shepherd's Hat", which accompanies you along the entire route.
After a short downhill stretch, keep right and walk along the "Hoidagossn." Past an impressive spruce, impressive rock formations, and agricultural fields. Soon you will come past the wooden hut, which with a small exhibition "LEBENsWELT - History and Encounter" on display panels presents the history of the villages on both sides of the border, and in particular the development of the 50-year-old large municipality Moorbad Harbach, both in German and Czech languages! About halfway, you can take a small break at the Gasthaus zur Holzmühle or (by appointment) visit the "World of Pets - Pets of the World." The path continues past the beautiful Waldviertel nature and other stations of the theme route. Before you reach the starting point again, you can take a stroll through the beautifully designed "Garden of Human Rights."
