Dinosaurs? They only existed in prehistoric times! Not here on the Triesting cycle path!
The cycling route runs along the Triesting and is a secret tip for nature-loving families. Passing the old cotton spinning mills, you directly dive into the mysterious floodplain landscape that has been preserved here along the Triesting. A nature paradise worth protecting that deserves a closer look! Frog concerts, loud birdsong, and numerous, partly rare aquatic plants included. A particularly exciting insider tip are the many weirs and fish ladders from which children can explore the Triesting very directly.
Continuing to cycle is worth it, as the mysterious "water forest" leads the Triesting cycle path directly to Dumba Park in Tattendorf. Here, families open up to another adventure world with 60 life-size dinosaurs to admire! Right next door, you can watch the fluttering of magical giant butterflies in the Butterfly world Tattendorf. If time allows, it's worth doing a round in the climbing park Tattendorf. Here you can admire the huge dinosaurs from above!

Rest areas:
Along the cycle path there are numerous playgrounds that also invite you to rest. Particularly attractive are the many "little spots" near the bridges and on the bank directly on the Triesting for taking a break. The motto here is to take a break, enjoy, and observe.

From Leobersdorf, you take the Thermal cycle path south towards Schönau an der Triesting, where you turn left onto the Triesting cycle path! This turnoff and start of the Triesting cycle path are well signposted. Then you continue along the Triesting cycle path to Trumau. From there back to Leobersdorf. The route is paved.
The Triesting cycle path is consistently signposted, as is the section at Leobersdorf of the Thermal cycle path!
This family route recommendation is a "round-trip" route and can be extended at will via the Thermal cycle path to Baden, for example, or via the Triesting cycle path.
