Detaily pro: stp Route #9 Challenge Triathlon St. Pölten
Krátký popis
The most beautiful cycling route in the region
Popis
The 94-kilometer-long route with 910 meters of elevation passes through some of the most beautiful landscapes of Lower Austria and has repeatedly been awarded as the most beautiful cycling route by triathlon participants. From St. Pölten, it goes past Lake Ratzersdorf towards the Traisental region. In Krustetten, the first climb awaits with a wonderful view of Göttweig Abbey. From here, the picturesque Wachau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, opens up with its impressive vineyards and historic places like Rossatzbach, Spitz, and Weißenkirchen. In the final third, the Dunkelsteinerwald awaits with its demanding, shaded but still sweat-inducing climb up to Gansbach. The route deviates from the original triathlon course at the beginning because the closed S33 motorway cannot be used – nevertheless, it offers an unparalleled riding experience full of sporting challenges and scenic highlights.
