Extremely charming and varied hike past the pilgrimage church Maria Schnee along paths and trails with gentle ascents through forests, along streams, meadows, and fields. The centerpiece of the hiking route is the forest playground with hammocks, a rope jungle, and a hanging treehouse.
Popis
Maria Schnee is nestled in the gentle hilly landscape of the Bucklige Welt. In summer between golden yellow fields and shady green forests - in winter surrounded by an idyllic winter landscape.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolitan areas, the seeker of relaxation can still find people who have time for each other, live in harmony with nature, and warmly welcome visitors.
A special attraction is the pilgrimage church Maria Schnee, built from 1876 to 1879 as a replacement for what was probably a Carolingian St. Oswald and Radegund chapel.
Special panoramic views are offered by the Kaltenberger Höhe. Here, the hiker finds a view over the entire Bucklige Welt up to the Geschriebenstein, the Wechsel, the Rax and Schneeberg mountains, as well as the Southern Vienna Basin. The walking time is about 1.5 hours, with children you should allow an additional half hour.

The start is at the GH Neumüller car park to the pilgrimage church Maria Schnee. After a few houses, turn right into the forest. The round route separates from the larger round (Route 2) in the forest at the corresponding marking and continues towards the forest playground. From there it goes back to the pilgrimage church Maria Schnee and to the GH Neumüller car park.
Příjezd
From Vienna and Graz: Take the Southern Motorway A2, exit at Grimmenstein. Turn right onto B54 and drive towards Grimmenstein. After about 500 m, turn left onto Bachgasse towards Kaltenberg (Maria Schnee) or Lichtenegg. Follow country road 4106 about 6 kilometers past Kaltenberg-Maria Schnee.
