The Buchbergwarte in Maria Anzbach is an impressive excursion destinations in the Vienna Woods. In 2002, the municipalities of Asperhofen, Maria Anzbach and Neulengbach acquired the Buchberg area and made it accessible to the public. Two years later, the 22.5 meter high new Buchbergwarte was officially opened. In recent years, the Buchberg has become one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Vienna Woods. Since 2003, there has also been a restaurant in the refuge again. A visit to the Buchbergwarte is an unforgettable experience and a must for every visitor to the Vienna Woods.
In winter, the cozy winter garden with panoramic views of the Alpine foothills invites you to linger, while the inn treats you to hearty meals and sweet pastries. Hikers can enjoy picturesque routes with wonderful views from Maria Anzbach or Neulengbach . Mountain bikers can enjoy either the Laaben Tal gravel bike tour or the challenging Laurenzi trail. The 22.5 m high viewing platform rewards visitors with an impressive panoramic view. A large hall is available for celebrations, and Buchberg vouchers make an ideal gift.
