Matthias and Agnes Penner keep and market Wagyu cattle and Turopolje pigs on their organic farm. The meat of Turopolje pigs contains more intramuscular fat than conventional breeds, making it particularly tender and juicy. The suckler cows and young cattle are on pasture from April to November. The pigs are kept on straw and are free to roam all year round.
The special thing about Wagyu beef is the uniform and extremely fine marbling in the meat (intramuscular fat). This makes the meat tender, juicy and gives it a special nutty taste. Wagyu cattle mature late and are only fully grown at around 2 years of age. Only then does the fat begin to be stored in the muscle.
Farm sales: it is best to call us and make an appointment with us, then you can pick up the meat or your products and see for yourself that our animals are doing well. We offer fresh meat, steaks, burgers and raw ham from Wagyu cattle and Turopolje pigs, as well as fresh meat, bacon, smoked meat, liver pâté, black pudding and various types of lard.
