The rustic reception building at Stein-Mautern station in the Krems district of Lower Austria surrounds the enchanting ambience of the surrounding wine-growing region with a constant view of the fascinating Danube along the route. At the station itself, sanitary facilities as well as parking spaces for bicycles are offered, which can be taken free of charge on the tourist-operated trains along the route upon reservation.

Route information

  • The Stein-Mautern stop is located along the route of the Donauuferbahn, also known as the Wachaubahn. Tickets can be purchased directly on the trains.
