Marillenhof – Destillerie Kausl

At the end of the Spitzer Graben, where the Wachau World Heritage region disappears into the high plateau of the Waldviertel, lies the Marillenhof distillery and the Wachau-Genuss Shop Kausl on the old Roman road in Ötz.

At the Marillenhof, the Kausl's conjure up home-made heavenly delicacies from the sun-ripened fruit. Original Wachau apricots as well as apples, pears, dirndls, heart cherries, elderberries, creepers, peaches, grapes, rowanberries, plums and other rare fruit and berry varieties are processed into specialties.

Whether as jam, nectar, brandy or liqueur. Offering "pure nature" of the highest quality is the maxim of the Kausl family business.

Tip: Scotland? Not necessarily. Because whisky fans will also love the Wachau whisky, made from pure barley, wheat, rye and oats.
