The Baumgartner family not only runs one of the oldest wineries in the region in Untermarkersdorf, but has also been one of the most successful distilleries for over 30 years. The work between vineyards and orchards, wine cellar and distillery is intense, but when work allows, the wine tavern in the wine cellar lane is opened in early summer. The newly adapted cellar vault offers regional Heurigen dishes in addition to quality wines and internationally award-winning fine brandies. A selection of Mediterranean and meatless dishes is also served. Most of the ingredients for these culinary delicacies come from direct marketers in the surrounding area.
