Weingut Mittelbach Hermann

Weingut Mittelbach has been growing wine with passion and an eye for detail for generations. The winery cultivates around 19 hectares of vineyards in Rohrendorf and Krems in the beautiful Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German).

The diversity of varieties at Mittelbach is remarkable. The focus is on classic white wines such as Grüne Veltliner and Riesling, as well as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Gelber Muskateller. Red wines are not neglected either: Blauer Zweigelt, St. Laurent and Merlot are part of the range. Special vineyards such as "Kremser Sandgrube", "Rohrendorfer Gebling", "Paschingerin" or "Holzgasse" contribute to the fact that each wine expresses its own signature and origin.

Near-natural cultivation is also an important concern at Mittelbach: the company does not use herbicides, uses adapted fertilization (e.g. with biomass) and works specifically with pruning and yield regulation in order to optimize quality. Care is also taken in the cellar - white wines are often matured in stainless steel tanks, while red wines are sometimes aged in wooden barrels and barriques to achieve depth and complexity.
