Weingut Bernhard Kumhofer

The Bernhard Kumhofer winery, which has been family-owned for three generations, is located in the heart of the wine-growing community of Matzen, which is known as the center of the large 'Matzner Hügel' vineyard due to its geographical location and climatic conditions. Typical varietal wines are pressed on around 15 hectares of vineyards. Thanks to the combination of modern cellar technology and organic vineyard management, a diverse range of varieties and quality can be offered. The operating philosophy is based on targeted pruning in winter, skillful foliage work in summer, ripening-dependent harvesting in autumn, controlled fermentation in steel tanks and clean vinification and storage in wooden barrels. Although the winery is not staffed at fixed times of the day, we are happy to sell our wines from the farm by appointment.
