Weingut Bründlmayer
VinařPopis
According to the Financial Times, the Bründlmayer winery is a "beacon of Austrian viticulture". The Gault&Millau wine guide sees its greatest asset in its wonderful, certified organic vineyards. In prime locations such as Lamm and Heiligenstein, the flagship varieties Grüne Veltliner and Riesling thrive and always cause a sensation: the Riesling Heiligenstein Alte Reben was recently awarded the highest rating of 100 points in the trade magazines A la Carte and Falstaff. The Riesling Heiligenstein Lyra confidently won the Vinaria Sortentrophy.
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, from which legendary sparkling wines are also made, are considered specialties. Not for the first time, Bründlmayer Brut Rosé was named best Austrian rosé sparkling wine in Falstaff, while the new large reserves Blanc der Noirs Extra Brut 2015 and Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature 2017 topped the league of premium sparkling wines with 95 and 96 points. Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, Muscat, St. Laurent, Zweigelt and Cabernet Franc complete a range of which Peter Moser (Falstaff) says: "Almost every wine has the potential to be the best in its category."
