Weingut Ernst Semmler

Weingut Ernst Semmler is a winery in the Weinviertel region that underwent a significant transformation in 2011. Converting to organic farming was a labor-intensive step, but one that was necessary in order to bring wine, as a cultural asset, into the third millennium. Semmler's organic wines are intended to paint landscapes of taste on the palate, telling stories about terroir, varietal typicity and the annual cycle of nature. Nature is the winery's greatest asset. The conviction for organic cultivation is reflected in the traditional manual work, which is reminiscent of the ancient Romans who brought viticulture to Austria. The conscious step from winegrower to organic winegrower was taken in order to keep the soil and the vines healthy for future generations.
