The Thiery-Weber family winery is as deeply rooted in its home village. Rohrendorf as deeply rooted as the vines in the mighty loess of the Saubühel, Rohrendorf's local mountain. World-class grape varieties such as Grüne Veltliner and Riesling thrive on an area of 17 hectares. There is a strong sense of solidarity within the Thiery-Weber family conglomerate, where everyone can rely on each other.
Erich and Maria Weber took over the winery from Maria's father Karl Thiery in 1986 with 5 hectares at the time and turned it into what it is today: one of the leading wineries in the region. Artur, Maria and Erich's nephew, joined the business in 2005 after gaining several years of experience at home and abroad, and took over the management of the winery in 2020.
The Thiery-Weber winery stands for wines that are fun to drink, but also bear the clear signature of the winemaker and reflect their origin. The philosophy in the cellar is "less is more". The wines are influenced as little as possible, but as much as necessary. In order to achieve the best possible results, traditional cellar methods are combined with new technologies.
