Popis
Dorfheurige Kerschbaum is located in Brunn im Felde and is a warmly run business that combines viticulture, agriculture and enjoyment. The Kerschbaum family runs their farm with great dedication - together with their mother, wife and children - and attaches great importance to ensuring that guests feel completely at ease.
Viticulture and agriculture have been practiced on the estate since 1786, while the name "Kerschbaum" first appeared around 1900. Franz Kerschbaum and his wife Brigitta have been running the business for almost three decades. Their son Martin in particular, who trained at the Krems School of Viticulture and gained practical experience in the Palatinate and at the Sepp Moser winery, now makes a significant contribution to the quality and focus of the business.
The vineyards cover around 4.16 hectares. Around 70% is planted with Grüner Veltliner, as well as red varieties such as Blauer Zweigelt and Blauer Burgunder. Other varieties include Muskat Ottonel, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Frühroter Veltliner and Müller-Thurgau. Around half of the wine is marketed directly, the other half via Winzer Krems.
The wine tavern was opened in June 2005, after construction of the wine tavern had begun in 2004. Since then, the Dorfheurige Kerschbaum has been an integral part of the region and a member of the Wine Road ("Kremstal" in German).
Inside, the wine tavern has room for around 80 guests, while outside around 100 people can be seated in the garden or on the terraces. There is also a play corner for children.
