Jakobsweg Weinviertel

Popis

Faster, higher, further - this credo is not tailor-made for the Weinviertel. Here, the hilly landscape sets the rhythm, well-paced and finely dosed. Serenity is very important in the Weinviertel and you could almost think that the Weinviertel was created especially for pilgrims

The Weinviertel Way of St. James runs 153 km from Drasenhofen to Krems an der Donau. Since the Weinviertel Way of St. James was opened in 2010, the Weinviertel has been part of the international pilgrimage movement.

153 km quest for a successful life and a sense of purpose

Starting from Drasenhofen, the Weinviertel Way of St. James leads to Poysdorf, Austria's wine town, and via Mistelbach, pilgrims reach the highest elevation in the Weinviertel, the Buschberg. There are wonderful views from the Michelberg and great views of the fertile wine landscape from the regional wine cellar in Kirchberg. The proximity to Krems gives you the first feelings of happiness, as you have completed this section after a 6-day pilgrimage and the connection to the Göttweig-Melk Way of St. James is also available here.
