Mostviertler Sonnwendkreis am Haberg in Steinakirchen

The circle consists of 24 standard trees (alternating between apple and pear). This number is intended to symbolize the hours of the day. Fast-growing tree species such as plums and medlars were placed in between. The diameter of the circle of trees is 80 meters, and that of the outer circle of roads is 100 meters.

The centerpiece is a 6.5-meter-high granite obelisk with sundials.

Rails from the former narrow-gauge railroad through the Kleine Erlauftal valley and cannonballs from the cannon factory in Gußwerk were used to mark significant points in the year: summer solstice, equinox, winter solstice.
