Semmering

On the southern border between Lower Austria and Styria lies the municipality of Semmering with the Alpine crossing of the same name. Since 1854, the Semmering Railway, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has been running through the town. In the past, it mainly brought the sophisticated public from Vienna to the summer resort, but today the healing climate of the mountain spa attracts guests in particular - whether for sport, nature experiences or culture.
