On this alpine stage, you reach the highest peak of the alpannonia® long-distance hiking trail. From the Rosegger Shelter on the Pretulalp, you hike along a scenic ridge equipped with wind turbines up to the 1783 m high Stuhleck. This is also the highest point of alpannonia®. From here you have an overview of the surrounding mountains, the Mürz valley, and from Slovakia over western Hungary and large parts of eastern Austria. After descending to Pfaffensattel, the path goes uphill and downhill mostly through forests with some views until reaching Feistritzsattel. Here you meet the main trail coming from Semmering (Stage 1).
No overnight accommodation at Feistritzsattel. Hiking time to Trattenbach (with accommodation) approx. 45 min - shuttle service from Feistritzsattel to Trattenbach is offered and recommended by the accommodation providers.
Contact Trattenbach in good time - there is no mobile reception at Feistritzsattel.
