Detaily pro: Small Erlauf Reservoir Circuit
Krátký popis
This short village circular route shows all facets of Mitterbach and often offers great views of the Gemeindealpe, Ötscher, and the Erlauf Reservoir.
Popis
Mitterbach is known for the Gemeindealpe, the Erlaufsee, and for having the first Protestant tolerance church in Lower Austria. The history of the Protestant lumberjacks employed to clear the area can also be experienced during a guided tour in Mitterbach. The Erlaufsee, Gemeindealpe, and Mariazellerbahn also shape the idyllic mountain village of Mitterbach. The village circular route shows all these facets and thus perfectly sets the mood for a hiking holiday in Mitterbach.

Popis trasy Small Erlauf Reservoir Circuit
From the starting point at Dorfplatz Mitterbach, we walk past the Protestant church up the Kapschgasse. We then bear slightly right onto a forest road and follow it downhill to Hagenstraße (9a) towards Erlauf Reservoir. On Hagenstraße, we turn right back towards Mitterbach. Those traveling with children should take the Fischerweg. Then we proceed gently downhill to the reservoir shore and follow the forest path that branches left from Hagenstraße at Hirschfeldspitz. Alternatively, this section can be omitted by continuing on Hagenstraße. Shortly before reaching the B20, we arrive at the cozy hiking inn "Erlaufstauseeschänke," after which we follow the B20 on the sidewalk back to the starting point.
