Detaily pro: Gösing train station - Hintere Tormäuer - Ötschergräben - Ötscherhias - Mitterbach
Krátký popis
A scenic hike through the gorges of the nature park along the crystal-clear waters of the Erlauf and Ötscherbach!
Popis
The starting point of the route is the Gösing train station. The path begins directly below the Alpenhotel Gösing (temporarily closed) and leads through an enchanted forest to Erlaufboden. There begin the impressive Hintere Tormäuer - a gorge shaped by the turquoise-blue Erlauf. Always along the river, the lovingly maintained path leads over bridges and footbridges to the Stierwaschboden power plant. A visit to the show power plant is worthwhile here! After the power plant, the Ötschergräben begin. On paths formerly created by timber workers, it is not too far to the Ötscherhias snack station. After a short stretch uphill past an old mill, you reach the Erlauf reservoir lake. Tired hikers can already take the train back to Gösing from the Erlaufklause here. Those who still have strength should definitely hike along the fjord-like Erlauf reservoir lake to Mitterbach. Then it goes back to Gösing with the historic Mariazell Railway.
