The Melk River is the constant companion on this mostly flat and pleasant route. Over a distance of 31 kilometers, it leads from Oberndorf an der Melk via Ruprechtshofen, Zelking, and Matzleinsdorf to the town of Melk, where it flows into the Danube Cycle Path at the lift bridge and connects to the Pielachtal Trail. Here the journey of the Melk River also ends. Relaxing rest areas in Lunzen and at the Möselsteg invite you to take a bike break. Worth seeing are the panoramic view at Anzenberg and the bridge view at the Melk Danube power plant.
