In addition to rock-solid cuisine that emphasizes regional game, beef and fish products, Franz Diewald's inn has its own brewery. The naturally cloudy Franzl and Josef beer is an integral part of the standard menu. Over the years, the master brewer and landlord has become more experimental, as the nettle beer proves. The hop and malt beverage is served in many places in the inn: in the rustic farmhouse parlor, which is equipped with a tiled stove, in the dining room, which is divided into niches, or in the bar area. Photographs and trophies on the walls tell the story of the hotel's success. Always a good idea: a stay on the terrace. Over food, drink and lively conviviality, guests can gaze deep into the Vienna Basin.

The menu at Gasthof Diewald showcases the delights of the Vienna Alps in Lower Austria. The chef's professional signature is evident in the crispy fried char fillet with spelt risotto. This also applies to the Fiaker goulash. The meat is super-tender and the sauce is richly flavored thanks to the searing and long braising. In addition to the excellent pub cuisine, there is another striking detail in this family business. A 130-year-old grocery store is located near the bar and forms the heart of the inn.
