Popis
To the point, or even better: reduced to the taste. The Grüner Baum inn in Kirchberg am Wechsel serves game specialties. All year round, a rarity. From creamy venison ragout to roast liver and roulades - regional game is used in every conceivable way. Karl Donhauser, the restaurant's senior chef, goes hunting in his own hunting ground. The game is prepared by his son and head chef Christian Donhauser. His wife Magdalena looks after the guests. A country inn with a rich history. Built in 1650, the inn is now run by the ninth generation. You can count yourself lucky to be a guest here. Or you simply have a pig. Namely the Schneebergland Schwein and the Porc Gascon.
A dream at the Grüner Baum inn
A "gstandenes" inn, just as you would expect and hope for. Dark wooden elements characterize the dining room. Hunting trophies adorn the walls. You can't and won't hide it: many a hunting tale has gone the rounds here. The Grüner Baum inn impresses with its family atmosphere. Regional and friendly partnerships around cheese, potatoes and fish farming are praised. In-house products such as Swiss stone pine schnapps, game sausage and plum jam are in demand. Wonderful wines and freshly tapped beers complete the culinary offer.
