Badeteich Seeschlacht

The natural swimming pond in Langenzersdorf is a paradise for those seeking relaxation and sports enthusiasts. With a soccer and street soccer pitch, a swimming island and a beach volleyball court, it offers a wide range of activities. Culinary delights are provided by the on-site restaurants. Families with children will appreciate the special parent-child area with a playground. The Seeschlacht recreation area conveys a vacation feeling in the middle of the municipality of Langenzersdorf and is maintained and serviced at great expense. The name "Seeschlacht" is derived from the "slaughtered" fortifications of the former Danube bank on the outside of a bend in the river. The body of water of the same name dates back to the time of the Danube regulation in the 19th century and was created from a gravel pit. During the bathing season, access is only possible via the main entrance, the side entrances remain closed. Dogs are not allowed all year round and open fires and barbecues are not permitted anywhere on the Seeschlacht site.
