Theater in Nasswald
Divadlo
Popis
In the middle of the idyllic Nasswald forest, surrounded by the imposing peaks of the Rax, a group of amateur actors brings not only the story of the pioneer Georg Hubmer, the Rax King, but also hilarity to the open-air stage. The result is a down-to-earth and authentic summer theater under the open sky.
Georg Hubmer was a lumberjack from humble beginnings who rose to become a successful timber entrepreneur in the 19th century and played a decisive role in shaping timber transportation in the region. As a pioneer of forestry, he transported timber from the region to Vienna and is known in the region as the Rax King . You can still visit the Hubmer memorial today, right next to the open-air stage.
