Popis
Austria's first 36-hole course - the COLONY CLUB GUTENHOF - is located just 10 km south of Vienna in the middle of the old alluvial forests of the Gutenhof estate and is undoubtedly the flagship of Austrian golf.
Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance was already enthusiastic about the Himberg course: "For me, these two traditional parkland courses are among the best in Europe, with not just one signature hole, but several attractive, memorable holes." Both the east and west courses meet high international standards in terms of design and course quality and have already proven themselves several times as venues for international competitions, including the Austrian Open 93 and the Austrian Ladies Open 96. It is difficult to say which of the two courses is the "prettier" - both represent a great challenge for both the ambitious golfer and the amateur golfer.
