Gottfried von Einem Museum

The successful Austrian composer Gottfried von Einem spent the rest of his life in Oberdürnbach near Maissau. After his death in 1996, the site of his work was donated to the municipality of Maissau by his wife Lotte Ingrisch and has been open to the public as a Gottfried von Einem memorial since 1998. Since 1999, the Gottfried von Einem Days have commemorated his last place of work every year. Top-class artists bring the works of Gottfried von Einem to life once again in this setting.
