The battle took place on July 5 and 6, 1809, with Emperor Napoleon commanding the French army and the Austrian army under the leadership of Archduke Carl.
A shoemaker's workshop from the interwar period and a smoke kitchen are set up in the museum of local history. There are numerous exhibits of art and utility ceramics, as well as a number of exhibits of important personalities from Deutsch-Wagram.
In the memorial room for Infantry Regiment No. 42 there are uniforms from the time before the First World War and the regimental drum, as well as chronicles and memorabilia of the regiment's commanders.
