Hildegard von Bingen Haus

Popis

The late Gothic vaults, the long, brick corridor, the cool walls, the quiet inner courtyard: they not only characterize the appearance, but also the atmosphere.

Hildegard's Refugium is located in the historic Hildegard von Bingen House, one of the most important and oldest buildings in Wiener Neustadt's old town. Its origins date back to the 15th century, when the town councillor Kristoff Wulfing lived here - a man who combined business and public spirit in a time of change. Preserved details such as blind arcades and light niches provide an insight into the style and construction of the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Visitors can explore this special building and immerse themselves in its eventful past as part of monthly house tours, which take place on a Sunday - an experience between history, culture and tangible timelessness.
