Popis

Herrnbaumgarten is one of the oldest - the Druchsenbergen vineyard is mentioned in documents as early as 1285 - and one of the largest wine-growing communities in the Weinviertel with 550 hectares of vineyards.

The Heakratza vineyard is home to the former church cellar, which was first mentioned in 1672, as well as press houses dating back to around 1715. The Prince von und zu Liechtenstein owns what is probably the most famous vineyard in Herrnbaumgarten with a vineyard area of around 40 hectares.

The Heakratza wine cellar lane is the "Hintaus" cellar lane parallel to the main street, where the chickens scratched in earlier times. On a wine cellar lane tour, you will not only visit very old wine cellars, you will also pass the castle fountain and the remains of the walls of the former castle of the Lords of Baumgarten. In a press house, under an old stone press, we end our cellar lane tours with a glass of Herrnbaumgartner wine - or several.
