The spa gardens in Reichenau are a special jewel created by landscape gardener Franz Erban in 1892 . With its idyllic pond and picturesque Lenau Island, it invites you to take a relaxing stroll.
The pavilion built in 1903 makes the park a popular meeting place for Reichenau's summer society, then as now. Celebrities such as Arthur Schnitzler, Gustav Mahler, Franz Werfel and Sigmund Freud strolled here, finding inspiration for their works in the beautiful landscape.
Even today, the Kurpark is still a popular place to relax in Reichenau.
You can enjoy this in the park:
- Walk along the Barbara PromenadeA short walk that leads directly past Reichenau Castle.
- Visit to St. Barbara's Church: Not far from the park is St. Barbara's Church, which is dedicated to St. Barbara, the patron saint of miners.
- Park café: Enjoy a leisurely coffee.
Tip: The Reichenau farmers' market takes place here every second Sunday of the month, where you can discover regional products from local farms.
