Popis

Art and local history at the foot of the Bisamberg

The Langenzersdorf Museum, LEMU for short, is an art and cultural jewel just outside Vienna. It houses unique works by the famous sculptors Anton Hanak, Siegfried Charoux and Alois Heidel, as well as works by Hanak's pupils, Gottfried Buchberger and Alfred Czerny. The museum also has a prehistoric collection with Neolithic finds from the Burleiten site on the Bisamberg. Another highlight is Max Brand's original studio with the prototype of the Moog synthesizer from 1960. The extensive collection of local and local history objects and works of art relating to Langenzersdorf and the period 1900-1930 rounds off the offer. A permanent exhibition about Eduard Klablena and his time with animal figurines, fashion ladies and pottery from the LEMU collection is also part of the museum. In addition to the permanent exhibitions, the LEMU also offers regular events and special exhibitions. A visit to the Langenzersdorf Museum is a cultural experience to remember.
