For more than 35 years, we - the Mohnwirt Neuwiesinger - have dedicated ourselves entirely to the Waldviertler Graumohn PDO. The Waldviertler Graumohn, with its mild, delicate taste, has played the leading role in the Mohnwirt kitchen ever since. On the Mohnwirt menu you will find a variety of savory and sweet delicacies with Waldviertler Graumohn such as poppy seed noodles, poppy seed dumplings with Hollerkoch, carp fillet in a poppy seed crust or our Mohnwirt cake, as well as the popular tavern classics such as rustic roast with potato dumplings or fried chicken with potato salad or Grandma's Grammelknödel. In our own poppy seed cake factory at the Mohnwirthof, we bake freshly baked poppy seed cakes every day for you to take away and enjoy. Our great passion for poppy seeds has also been reflected in our popular own brand "Mohn Amour" for over 25 years. The Mohn Amour indulgence products include many savory and sweet poppy seed delicacies such as poppy seed chocolate, poppy seed honey, poppy seed oil pesto, poppy seed spelt cookies or poppy seed mustard, and much more. A specialty is our Mohn Amour care series for the senses of the skin, which is enriched with high-quality gray poppy seed oil. Our Waldviertler Graumohn is part of our philosophy of life and has become our passion. In the Mohnwirtstadl you can visit the poppy seed mill collection of Mohnwirt Johann Neuwiesinger. His collection of poppy seed mills comprises around 2000 pieces. The approximately 200 different models range from the oldest made of cast iron to the most modern poppy seed mill made of plastic, which was produced by a 3D printer.
