Popis
The baroque parish church towers over the settlement at the highest point of the town, 510 m above sea level. A Gothic church stood on this site until the beginning of the 18th century. Work began on the new building in 1713. First, the 54 m high church tower was erected, then the current nave was built over the old Gothic parish church. Once the outer walls were completed, the old church was torn down. A detailed description of the church and its art treasures can be found at the rear entrance to the church. The cemetery was located around the church until 1719. There are still some old gravestones on the town wall to the west of the parish church.
To the north of the church is the vicarage (built in 1973). Previously, a typical "parsonage farmstead" stood in its place: in addition to the rooms required for pastoral care, a farm for the parish's own goods formed the core of the complex. The last remnant from this period is a tower.
