From June to October, you can explore the March-Thaya floodplains from the water in the north-eastern Weinviertel region, where the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria meet.
Natural landscape
The untouched March-Thaya floodplains are among the most fascinating floodplains in Central Europe and are an insider tip for connoisseurs and nature lovers.
March and Thaya
The March is a rather calm river that is ideal for enjoyable paddling and birdwatching, while the Thaya is somewhat more winding and unspoilt in its final section just before it joins the March. Stand up paddling involves standing on an oversized surfboard and using a paddle to move around.
This sport is easy to learn and our professionals will help you, but it's more about experiencing nature and having fun.
