Strandbad am Herrensee

The well-kept forest pool is located directly on the Herrensee in Litschau. An outdoor swimming pool and, of course, the Herrensee lake offer plenty of opportunity to cool off, and there are also many secluded spots to "chill out". For children, there is a paddling pool, the "Gatschkiste" and the sand playground right by the lake as well as a toddlers' play area and a large, shaded playground with a climbing castle. There is also a multi-purpose playing field for streetball, basketball, field hockey and skating. In the "Verweilzeit" and the "Herrensee-Platzl", two nice restaurants in the lido area, you can enjoy a relaxing end to a day of swimming and watch the sun go down.

Numerous hiking trails (e.g. Herrenseerundwanderweg) lead along the lake, and the boat rental service also offers a range of means of transportation to navigate the lake, such as electric boats, pedal boats, rowing boats, surf bikes and kayaks.

Dogs are not permitted at the Litschau lido on Lake Herrensee when the lake is open (from 10:00 - 18:00 in the summer months). However, access to the catering establishments is permitted if dogs are kept on a lead. Outside of bathing hours, the lido is freely accessible, but leashes are compulsory.

When the nights are freezing cold in winter, ice skating and curling on the natural ice surface of Lake Herrensee is a great option!
