Theresien observation post

Rozhledna

Popis

The Theresien observation post in the rose-growing and thermal city of Baden was founded in 1884 - financed by Theresia Göschl, who also gave her name to the vantage point. After renovations in 1912 and 1980, the observation post now shines as picturesquely as ever.  It offers hikers and walkers a magnificent panoramic view of Baden, Bad Vöslau and Sooß as well as Schneeberg and Harzberg.

Accessibility for hikers
An easy circular hike of about two hours takes you from the entrance of the Kurpark of Baden to the Theresien observation post and back again. Stops: Entrance of Kurpark Baden - Beethoven Temple - Rudolfshof - Theresien observation post- Karolinenhöhe - Anna Höhe - Entrance of Kurpark Baden. Starting at Casino Baden, you pass the Lanner and Strauss monuments and turn left up the Beethovenweg. From the Beethoven temple at the top, the route leads to the right onto the Gustav Perger-Weg and on towards Rudolshof. The Theresien observation post is then already signposted. From there it goes either back the same way, or further via Karolinen- and Anna Höhe back to the Kurpark Baden.
