WALDLAND

Over the course of Waldland's 35-year company history, a very diverse operation has been created at the Waldlandhof in Oberwaltenreith. More than 70 specialty crops are cultivated and refined by around 1000 regional member farms under contract. Innovation, research and development have a high priority. The 200 employees at Waldlandhof work in the areas of pharmaceutical raw material production, renewable raw materials and food.

Herbs & spices
Numerous crops such as mint, lemon balm, thyme, camomile, caraway and many others are grown in the kitchen and tea herb, spice and baking seed sectors. The production of dried chives rolls is particularly noteworthy. Waldland is one of the largest international suppliers in this field.

Cold-pressed vegetable oils & press cakes
A variety of oilseeds such as milk thistle, linseed, gray poppy, hemp, grape seeds, ... are processed into high-quality cold-pressed vegetable oils and press cakes in the Waldland oil mills in Oberwaltenreith and Kautzen.

Pharmaceutical raw materials
Well-known pharmaceutical manufacturers from all over the world value their partnership with Waldland. A wide variety of plants are cultivated exclusively for the extraction of active ingredients for pharmaceuticals. For example, milk thistle, ginkgo, St. John's wort, pollen and others.

Regional food & shopping
Another focus is on the culinary sector. Many regional specialties are produced in fish and poultry processing. A specialty is the noble catfish, an excellent, high-quality fish from the recirculation system. Waldland, the hub of poppy seed cultivation in the Waldviertel, is also known for its delicious poppy seed pastries. Numerous sweet and savory delicacies with and without poppy seeds are produced in the bakery and kitchen at Waldlandhof. The regional foods are available in the store in Oberwaltenreith, in the online store and in selected retailers.

Catering & Café
The diverse range of specialties is offered by the catering service and in the Waldland Café. Waldland attaches great importance to regionality and spoils you at events and celebrations at the Waldlandhof and at the location of your choice.

Linen house
Natural materials are the basis for the beautiful Leinenhaus products. The range includes fashionable women's and men's fashion, household linen, feel-good products and accessories.
