On an exhibition area of approx. 150^m2 you will not only learn about the different names for the potato, but also interesting facts about varieties and biology through fold-out texts and magnetic pictures that you can build yourself.

The long journey of the potato from South America to the Waldviertel is also described. You can learn all about cultivation, care and harvesting in the past and present, with a short film showing the latest machines and equipment in use. In the adjoining small cellar, you can not only inspect the equipment, but also purchase a sample of the crop. To get an overview of the cultivation and consumption of the valuable tuber all over the world, there are over 100 exhibits to marvel at in the Waldviertler Erdäpfelwelt.
