Wiesendorf Winegrowing and Village Museum
850 years of winegrowing. 900 years of village history.

Preserving the old and designing the new with care - this guiding principle characterizes the cultural and wine-growing community of Großweikersdorf. It has been put into practice in Wiesendorf in an exemplary manner: The wine-growing and village museum on the upper floor of the village center impressively displays the long history of Großweikersdorf and Kleinwiesendorf.

On display are numerous rare exhibits from 850 years of viticulture and 900 years of village history - including historical viticultural tools, Roman vine knives and a painted cup from the Neolithic period, found in Großwiesendorf.

The concept for the exhibition - especially the informative display boards - was created by Dr. Richard Hübl. The project was actively supported by committed local residents, including local councillors, educators and collectors. Their commitment made a cultural project of particular value possible, which was also supported by the Lower Austrian Village and Urban Renewal Agency.
