Leopoldsdorf and the Wienerberger: History of the brick barons & Ziegelböhm'
In one of the last remaining original brickworkers' houses, a special exhibition shows the more than 200-year history of the "brick community".
The exhibition also tells the story of Leopoldsdorf Castle, the Wiener Neustadt Canal with its only aqueduct in Leopoldsdorf, the brick factories and, above all, the living and working environment of the people up to Wienerberger, which is 200 years old this year.
Among other things, a model of a ring kiln for brick production, the oldest surviving Leopoldsdorf brick, a worker's apartment and visual art on the exhibition theme are on display.
